2018 Jeep Compass Power & Handling

Each 2018 Compass model is powered by the same engine. Lift up the hood of this compact-crossover SUV and you will find a Tigershark 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 180 hp and 175 pound-feet of torque. When equipped with four-wheel drive, the Compass can tow with the best of them maxing out at 2,000 pounds! Fuel economy ranges depending on the drivetrain and transmission combination but you will generally reach between 30 and 32 miles per gallon with regular highway cruising!
