What does the Gladiator have for features?

The five-passenger midsize truck that is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator comes with a five-foot cargo bed and four different trim levels. The Gladiator Sport starts things off for the entire model lineup with Bluetooth, all-season tires, a rearview camera, a Class II bumper hitch, a fold-down front windshield, removable doors, and a convertible folding soft top. The Overland model adds exterior features such as body-color wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, side steps, and heated power mirrors. Inside the Gladiator Overland, you'll find a 7-inch touchscreen, a 110-volt outlet in the center console, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The last trim available in the model line up is the Rubicon with all the features and equipment you need to conquer any terrain.

Can you tell me more about the Rubicon model?

The Gladiator Rubicon is a true off-road crawler with a Rock-Trac 4x4 system which has heavy-duty third-generation Dana 44 front and rear axles with a "4LO" ratio of 4:1. The Rubicon also comes with larger 33-inch all-terrain tires, Fox shock absorbers, locking front and rear differentials, body-protecting rock rails, an electronically disconnectable front stabilizer bar, and skid plates. The Rubicon also has an outstanding crawl ratio of 84.2:1 when paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a 77.2:1 ratio when mated with the eight-speed automatic transmission. Along with impressive crawl ratios, the Rubicon also has an approach angle of 43.6 degrees, a breakover angle of 20.3 degrees, a departure angle of 26 degrees, ground clearance of 11.1 inches, and up to 30-inches of water fording.

What does the Gladiator have for an engine?

At launch the 2020 Jeep Gladiator comes exclusively with a gas-powered engine, however, a diesel engine will be available later in the year. The standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine pumps out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard with the gas-powered engine but an eight-speed automatic transmission is available. The late availability 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine is rated at 442 lb-ft of torque and 260 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic transmission designed to handle the increased amount of torque comes mated with the EcoDiesel engine. The Gladiator is capable of towing up to 7,650 pounds and hauling up to 1,600 pounds.
