There are three engines available for the 2022 Cherokee, and each one is very potent in getting you to where you want to go with ease. The first engine we will discuss is the base 2.4-liter four-cylinder that kicks out 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. More power can be acquired by the Latitude Lux trim as you can choose between two different engine options, with the first being a 3.2-liter V6 that pumps out a massive 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque and the second a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder which kicks out 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. These spectacular engine options come with a smooth-sailing nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard on the first few trims, but all-wheel-drive is available to those who want more traction. On the Limited and Trailhawk, all-wheel-drive comes standard.
