2023 Jeep Gladiator Engine and Drivetrain Options

The 2023 Gladiator is eligible for two engine options. Like the Wrangler, it comes standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, and Command-Trac 4x4. This setup gives the Gladiator 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, hauling up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped. The EcoDiesel 3.0L V6 is also available for the Gladiator. The EcoDiesel engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and generates 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. While part-time Command-Trac 4x4 is standard equipment, Rock-Trac part-time 4x4 is standard exclusively for the Gladiator Rubicon. Meanwhile, the Overland and High Altitude trim levels are eligible for the Selec-Trac full-time 4x4 system.

What Features Come Standard with the 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

As was previously mentioned, the Gladiator borrows much of its design from the Wrangler, with the exception of the five-foot truck bed at the back. The round headlights, upright seven-slot grille, trapezoidal fender flares, and high and wide stance are all design notes previously exclusive to the Wrangler. Additionally, like the Wrangler, the Gladiator comes with a removable top, removable doors, and a fold-down windshield, giving occupants firsthand access to the world around them. Standard features beginning at the entry-level Gladiator Sport include a new air filtration system, locking rear seat storage, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen, Dana 44 solid axles, black bumpers, black wheel flares, 17-inch steel wheels, and a three-position easy-lower tailgate.

What Do the Higher Gladiator Trim Levels Offer?

Opting for the Overland trim gets you features like remote proximity keyless entry, body-color fender flares, 18-inch alloy wheels, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, nine-speaker Alpine premium audio, and built-in navigation. The Overland is also eligible for more available options, including leather-trimmed seats, driver assists, Selec-Trac 4x4, and side steps. Meanwhile, the Rubicon trim adds exclusive off-roading features like 33-inch all-terrain tires, Rock-Trac 4x4, locking rear and front differentials, off-road rock rails, FOX shock absorbers, and electronic sway bar disconnect. The Mojave trim earns Jeep's Desert Rated badge with a 1-inch lift, cab rock rails, a locking rear differential, 33-inch all-terrain tires, high-clearance fender flares, and FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks with front hydraulic jounce bumpers and external reservoirs. Lastly, the High Altitude trim tops off the lineup with a premium full body-color appearance, a body-color hard top, LED exterior lighting, quilted Nappa leather-trimmed seats, 20-inch alloy wheels, blindspot monitoring, and rear park assist.
