Below, you can learn more about the redesigned 2024 Jeep Wrangler!
2024 Jeep Wrangler Engine and Drivetrain Options
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler lineup will continue to use the powertrain options that have given it its legendary capabilities for years. Under the hood is the Pentastar 3.6L V6 engine, which lays down 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, a 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is standard on the Sahara and High Altitude trims, providing enhanced efficiency along with 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. To power the 4xe plug-in hybrid lineup, this turbocharged engine is paired with two electric motors and a rechargeable battery pack. This setup gives the 2024 Wrangler 4xe an impressive 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque in addition to 49 MPGe. Lastly, the thrilling Wrangler Rubicon 392 comes exclusively with a 6.4L HEMI V8 under the hood, ripping out an exciting 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The V6 engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment, while Jeep's TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission is optional. The eight-speed automatic transmission, however, comes standard with the turbocharged, plug-in hybrid, and V8 2024 Jeep Wrangler models. Of course, the 2024 Wrangler continues to earn Jeep's Trail Rated badge with standard 4x4. Standard equipment is Command-Trac part-time 4x4, while the turbocharged and PHEV models switch to Selec-Trac full-time 4x4. Meanwhile, the Rubicon comes with Rock-Trac part-time 4x4, while the all-new Rubicon X and HEMI-powered Rubicon 392 come with Rock-Trac full-time 4x4.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Lineup
As was mentioned above, the 2024 Wrangler lineup features the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and High Altitude trim levels. The Wrangler lineup is expanded in the 2024 model year, giving drivers more options than ever before. First off is the Wrangler Sport S 4xe. Based on the traditional Wrangler Sport S, which is the second trim in the Wrangler lineup, the Sport S 4xe gives a lower starting price point to America's most popular plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. In addition to the new 4xe trim level, the regular Wrangler lineup is expanded in 2024 by the Rubicon X! Since 2003, the Rubicon has provided off-road enthusiasts with top-tier off-road capabilities by outfitting the trim level with exclusive equipment and features to take the Wrangler's off-roading abilities to the next level. Currently, these features include Rock-Trac 4x4, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires, an electronically disconnecting stabilizer bar, high-strength steel skid plates, and much more. Meanwhile, the Rubicon X adds a full-time Rock-Trac transfer case, giving drivers added confidence while off-roading. The Rubicon X also adds knobby 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires for enhanced traction and an even more aggressive look. The front end of the Rubicon X features a forward-facing camera, which displays an unobstructed view of the trail in front of you on the infotainment touchscreen. Lastly, the Rubicon X features upgraded steel bumpers for added ruggedness.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Exterior Features
The 2024 Wrangler's exterior upgrades can mostly be found at the front end when looking at it head-on. The Wrangler's front fascia, with the upright seven-slot grille with round headlights on the flank, makes it instantly recognizable. While this design remains, there is a new color scheme for it that varies throughout the lineup. In its most basic form, the Wrangler's front fascia features black textured slots, Neutral Gray Metallic bezels, and a body-color surround, a design adopted from the 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 20th anniversary edition. The Willys trim, however, gives onlookers a blacked-out appearance, with Gloss Black on the slots and bezels. Meanwhile, the Sahara trim replaces the black slots and Neutral Gray bezels with ones painted with Platinum Silver. The High Altitude trim brings a distinctive design with Neutral Gray bezels complimented by Gloss Black slots. Up until 2024, the Wrangler has donned a steel mast antenna, which has an inherent risk of getting snagged on a tree while on the trails. Jeep avoided this by giving the 2024 Wrangler a stealth, windshield-integrated antenna. Continuing to provide drivers with the Wrangler's iconic open-air freedom is the standard premium soft top, black or body-color hard top, half doors, Sunrider for Hardtop, and the Sky One-Touch power top.
The Most High-Tech Wrangler Ever
Some of the 2024 Wrangler's most exciting upgrades come from within. At the top of the list of interior upgrades is the all-new Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen. Spanning 12.3 inches horizontally, the new touchscreen is standard across the entire 2024 Wrangler lineup. The Uconnect 5 system brings the latest features in automotive infotainment technology. Features like Amazon Alexa virtual assistant with home-to-car functionality and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto keep you connected. Meanwhile, the TomTom navigation system, standard starting at the Sahara trim, keeps you on the right path and uses live traffic updates to get you to your destination on time. Other Uconnect 5 features include five user profiles, a customizable home screen, 4G LTE WiFi, and much more. The 2024 Wrangler's advanced technology extends into the full suite of available driver assists, including blindspot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and more.
